It finally dried out here to take the little Suzi out for a drive, and what a difference. Like you, John, I have much more acceleration at the top of the rev range than with even the drilled-out stock unit. And the sound is something to behold (thank you Barbara for convincing me to do this). I loved my Savage from day one, but the Supertrapp makes it oh so much better!
By the way, I no longer have any burps, farts, or backfires. I have drilled out the plug over the idle mixture screw and have fattened it up by a couple ot turns, but I haven't removed the needle spacer. At this point, I'm not inclined to. We'll have to see what warmer weather brings.
